11 Años / 11 Years

Hoy aprendí que mi Bebe, es solo “Mi Bebe” para mí. Hoy cumplió 11 años. Recuerdo como si fuera ayer cuando lo tuve por primera vez en mis brazos. Así que para mí, el todavía es mi Bebe 🙂 . Pero la realidad es que tengo un joven de 11 años y que por primera vez desde que empezó el colegio, no pude ir a almorzar con él en su cumpleaños. Luego cuando fui a dejar los pastelitos al colegio, fui a dejarlos y eso fue todo…dejarlos en la oficina y ya 😦 . Ni modo, le dije a mi esposo: “Tengo otra pequeña para hacer eso con ella cuando ella vaya a la escuela”. A lo mejor dentro de 11 anos más no me dé tan duro 😉

Today I learned that my Baby is only a Baby in my eyes. He turned 11 today. I remember like it was yesterday when I held him in my arms for the very first time. So to me, he is still my Baby :-). The reality is that I have an 11 year old young man, and for the very first time since he started school I could not go have lunch with him on his birthday. Then when I took cupcakes to his school for him to share with his class, I had to drop them off and that was it… drop them off in the office 😦 Oh well, I said to my husband “I have another kid to do that with when she goes to school”. Maybe 11 years from now it won’t hit me so hard 😉
